Flight Departures at Kos Airport

Departing from Kos International Airport is usually easy as it is a single terminal airport. 

Transfer at Kos Airport

Many tour operators have pre-organised transfer for their customers, please consult with your organiser for more information if you are part of a charter group.

Parking – There are around 200 parking spaces available at the Kos Airport parking lot next to the airport for both short-term and long-term parking. Fees vary, but are not in any way excessive.

Rental car – The rental car companies available at Kos Airport are located in the arrivals area of the airport. Follow the instructions from your car rental company on how and where to return your rental vehicle.

Taxi – Taxis will drop passengers off right outside the terminal’s departure entrance. Taxis to/from Kos Airport can be pre-booked here.

Bus – The public bus stop is located 50 m from the terminal. Buses run between Kos airport and Kos Town, Mastichari, Kardamena and Kefalos during high season, but during low season they are less frequent and do not always run to all places.

Shuttle – It is possible to pre-organise a shuttle for transfer to the airport. Some hotels help with the organising but it is also possible to pre-organise it yourself through one of the many shuttle companies available on the island.

Train – There are no train lines on Kos.

There are 12 check-in desks located in the departures area of the airport.

Food and beverages at Kos Airport

Departing visitors have several options of places to eat and drink before it’s time to board their flights. 

Before going through to airside there is a Goody’s Burger House in the external area and an Everest (snack and coffee) in the departures area on landside. After going through the security check there is another Everest as well as It’s All Greek, located in the Extra Schengen area, and Streat Food Masters and Flocafe Espresso Room in the Intra Schengen area.

Shopping at Kos Airport

Hellenic Duty Free Shops is located on airside, past the security control, in the departures area with a wide selection of perfumes, spirits, confectionery, Greek gourmet, electronics, brand clothes, watches and much more. There is a service available allowing travelers to reserve online and collect it at the airport.

ATMs at Kos Airport

ATMs are readily available for the airport’s visitors and are located in the arrivals area on airside in the “all users” area as well as in the external area so make sure to withdraw the cash you wish before going through the security control.
